The Negative Reviews
Only 3 people gave ratings below 3 stars for the FrameWizard 8-inch Digital Picture Frame. While these users agree that the price of this product is fair and the frame itself looks good, they were very frustrated with the product’s software. They also found the user interface confusing. To top it off, customer support was not able to provide them with effective solutions.
Although these users admit that the digital frame does a decent job of displaying photos, they are upset that they couldn’t use the special effects—which was why they bought this digital frame in the first place. For some reason, the CD included with the product is not able to install the program into their PCs.
One customer was able to successfully install the software, but it seems to perform poorly with a Windows 7 operating system.
Applying special effects also seems to be a long and complicated process.

The Positive Reviews
There were 8 out of 11 reviewers who claim to be happy with their purchase. They admit that using the FrameWizard takes patience and some trial and error, but in the long run, they ended up tremendously enjoying the product. There is a learning curve, but these customers say it’s all worth it eventually. Once you get the hang of it, you will enjoy unique pictures and slideshows that are truly entertaining to watch.
It turns out that there was some confusion about the kind of software included with this product. As one of these customers explained, FrameWizard was supplying another vendor (Woot) with this same model but the software included did not have the MovingMemories special effect. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and Amazon customers also received units that did not have the MovingMemories special effect.
FrameWizard was quick to rectify the problem and sent some Amazon customers the correct CD with the complete software.

The Conclusion
So far, no one has complained about the FrameWizard digital frame’s appearance, construction, or screen quality. But apparently, this product is not for the technophobe. The software sounds pretty complicated.
But we have to admit, the idea of being able to apply cool special effects to photos is very appealing.
For this reason, we couldn’t resist recommending the FrameWizard 8-Inch Digital Picture Frame. It definitely sounds like a fun gadget. If you don’t mind a bit of a challenge and you’re willing to devote a little time figuring out the software’s quirks, then this product just might be for you.
